Please share a memory of Dorothy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
GENEVA-Dorothy A. Manino, 87, of Geneva, was welcomed into heaven on Wed. (Sept. 29, 2021). She passed peacefully at Geneva Living Center North, with her niece Cindy by her side. Friends may attend a prayer service on Sat., (Oct. 16) at noon at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva, followed by a burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Contributions may be directed to Our Lady of Peace Parish, 130 Exchange Street, Geneva in Dorothy's memory. Dorothy was born on Oct. 21, 1933, in Geneva, NY and was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary (Marciano) Manino. She was the youngest of 9 children. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Geneva and attended St. Francis/DeSales Schools. She was a kind person with an abundance of manners. Dorothy always asked how you were and never forgot to say thank you. Coming from a very large family, especially with 8 siblings, there was always something going on. She had an exceptional memory and took on the role as the family historian; remembering every event with great precision, knowing exact dates, times, and places. Dorothy enjoyed watching her games shows; especially Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right. She also loved doing puzzles, playing bingo, and was always there to help make meatballs and Christmas cookies. She was a member of St. Stephen/St. Francis Church. Dorothy is survived and will be deeply missed by her niece Cindy Campbell whom was like a daughter to Dorothy; nephew John Campbell; sister-in-law Sylvia Manino; and many many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Leo and Mary Manino; sisters and brothers-in-law Katherine (Kay) and Joseph (Smokey) Mariangelo, Mary (Bumbie) and John (Jerry) Campbell; brothers and sisters-in-law Anthony (Mino) and Ursula Manino, Leo and Norma Manino, Ralph (Torp) and Mary Manino, Frederick (Chickie) and Sara Manino; and brothers, Daniel Manino and Alfred Manino. Cindy would like a special Thank You to the Staff and Volunteers at Geneva Living Center North for the exceptional care and compassion given to Dorothy while she was a resident there. While at the living center Dorothy cherished the time spent with her many friends there. You all were her extended family. Dorothy was very happy and truly loved being there.
