Betty L. Pearson, 54, passed into the arms of her Lord and Saviour after a brief illness, on Friday, October 8, 2021, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Due to Covid-19, there will be no prior calling hours. A private funeral service will be held with burial in Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Abundant Life Christain Center, 7000 All Nations Blvd., East Syracuse, NY 13057. Memo line: IMO Betty L. Pearson. Betty was born on December 14, 1966 to John H. and Katherine E. Pearson in Geneva, NY. She was a 1985 Black Scholar graduate of Geneva High School where she earned perfect attendance certificates from 7th through 12th grade. She also earned a degree from Central City Business Institute (CCBI), Syracuse. In her youth she attended The Salvation Army church in Geneva, and for the past several years she was a faithful member of Abundant Life in East Syracuse. Over the years she held positions at Syracuse University, the City of Syracuse, and most recently New York State Gaming. She is survived by four brothers, Charlie Williams Jr. (Mary Lousie) of Webster; Donald J. Williams of the Bronx; Ted K. Williams (Ann Sanzone) of Cicero; and Henry A. "Hank" Pearson of Geneva; five sisters, Hattie Mae P. Willis of Eustis, FL; Henrietta P. Brown (George) Cairo, GA; Lillian E. Williams-Collins of Geneva; Zady "Pam" Pearson of Warner Robins, GA; Major Lydia L. Pearson of Chestnut Ridge; two aunts, Claretha P. Hudson (EB) and Bertha L. Dennis, both of Sanford, FL; brother-in-law, William "Bill" Roberson of Clyde; close friends Lorene Dunn, Tammy and Dorothy Cunningham-Carter; CCBI classmate Pamela Lynch; several cousins, nieces, nephews and other friends. She was predeceased by her parents John H. and Katherine E. Pearson; sister, Kathryn E. Williams-Roberson; brother Joseph, and brother-in-law, Charlie "Sam" Collins.
