Obituary of Carol S. Spina

GENEVA- Carol (Swift) Spina, 84, passed away peacefully on Wed. (Nov. 24, 2021), at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wed. (Dec. 1), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. at St. Francis De Sales Church, in Geneva. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum. Contributions may be directed to Our Lady of Peace Parish, 130 Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456. Carol was born on Feb. 14, 1937, in Kenmore, NY and was the daughter of the late John and Thelma (Reed) Swift. She worked for NY Tel for 40 years, starting as a telephone operator then became a business representative and ultimately, a manager of customer service. After retirement, she went to work for Seedway for 25 years, retiring at the age of 80. Carol loved spending time with her family and friends, going out to eat, exercising at the YMCA, and was well known for her impeccable cleaning. She had great faith and was a devoted member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Bob) Main of Canandaigua; son, Joe Spina of Rochester; grandson, Nicholas Main of Canandaigua; step-sister, Linda (Bob) Conway of Saratoga Springs; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Carol was predeceased by her husband, Tom Spina; daughter, Karen Marie Spina; brother, Jackie and sister, Joanne.
