Obituary of Vivian Ann Burgdorf

JUNIUS-Vivian, 96, passed away on Feb. 15, 2022 surrounded by her family. In honoring her wishes, there will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Seneca County Meals on Wheels, 83 West Bayard Street, Seneca Falls, NY 13148 in her memory. Vivian was born on January 19, 1926 in Junius and was the daughter of the late Charles and Edna (Wilson) Mason. She was a1945 Graduate of Lyons High School and a member of one of the first all girl's basketball teams. She was active in the Episcopal Church as a Sunday school teacher, a member of the church home board and an usher (along with her husband, Bill). Vivian was a Cub Scout den leader and a PTA co-president with her husband, Bill. She worked in the office at McCurdy’s department store while her boys went to college. Vivian served as Past President of the Lyons PTA. She is survived by her sons Dallas (Karen) Burgdorf of Lafayette, Ind. and Richard (Cindy Stephan) Burgdorf of Phelps; grandchildren Christine Chester, Richard (Amy), Matthew (Katie Ostrowski) and Conrad (Shania) Burgdorf, Nathan (Molly), Logan, Morgan (Sean) Braman and Katlynn (Eric) Matthews; great-grandchildren Taylor, Peyton and Harrison Chester and William, Elizabeth, Jacob, Rowan, and Charlotte Burgdorf. Vivian is predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Bill. “Unforgettable in every way And forever more, That’s how you’ll stay.”
