Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James Fredrick Olschewske GENEVA-Jim, 72, passed away suddenly surrounded by his loving family at Geneva General Hospital on Wednesday (March 16, 2022). Friends may call from 4 pm to 6 pm on Friday (March 25) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. A funeral service will follow at 6 pm in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to St Judes Children's Hospital in Jim's memory. Jim was born on March 20, 1949 and was the son on the late Norma (Beck) and Merle Olschewske. He lived an incredible life full of adventure, laughter and family. In his younger years he enjoyed traveling across the US, going to concerts, photography and sports. As a car enthusiast, he loved his 1966 Red GTO and being a member of his van club. In his retirement years he loved spending time with his loving family, watching QVC, mowing the lawn and making everyone around him laugh. Jim was there whenever you needed him, whether you needed to be picked up figuratively or literally, he was always there with a shoulder to cry on, an outrageous story, a corny Dad joke or a ride on those nights that got a little out of hand. Jim was genuine, kind and wanted nothing more out of life than his loved ones to be happy. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon (Arms) Olschewske of Geneva; son Kyle (Sara) Olschewske of Geneva and his daughter Lauren Olschewske of Geneva; sisters-in-law, Roberta (Daryl Soscia) Lead of Geneva and Paula Will of Fla.; special nephew, Ben Lead of Phelps and several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. Jim is predeceased by his brother Merle Olschewske, Jr., mother and father in-law Anna Mae and Paul Arms, sister in-law Patty Calhoun, and brother in-law Eddie Will.
