GENEVA- Mary Hurley, 69, passed away peacefully on Holy Thursday (April 14, 2022) after a long illness with Parkinson's disease at Huntington Living Center. Friends may attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am on Wed. (April 20) in St. Stephens Church. A private burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.
Mary was born on August 27, 1952 in Geneva, NY and was the daughter of the late June (Welch) and Donald John Kuryla. She graduated from DeSales High School in 1969 and went on to graduate from William Smith College in 1975. Mary taught for 38 yrs. at Geneva Middle School.
She is survived by her daughter Sydney Hurley of Philadelphia, PA; sister Chrissy D'Amico of Geneva; brothers Peter A. (Emily) Kuryla, Thomas D. (Jean Ann) Kuryla of Fairport, NY and Stuart Piltch of Newtown, PA; nieces Megan, Amy, Maddie, Hannah, Erin, Suzanne, Aly and Maggie.
Mary is predeceased by her daughter Molly Hurley.
