GENEVA-Gloria E. Madera, 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday (April 26, 2022) at Geneva General Hospital with her family at her side. In honoring her wishes, there will be no calling hours or service. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Geneva. Gloria was born on Nov. 11, 1942 in Villalba, Puerto Rico and was the daughter of the late Ramona (Mercado) and Fabian Madera. She enjoyed cooking, sewing clothes, gardening (she loved her flower beds) and flip flopping. Gloria is survived by daughters, Felicita (Felix) Mattei of Waterloo, Maribel Torres of Geneva, Maria A Torres of Florida, Sandra Ahmed of Geneva. Sons Melvin (Tina) Madera of Geneva, Alvin (S.O. Amber Breeds) Madera of Waterloo. Grandchildren Felix Mattei, Iraida Mattei, Reinaldo Bodon, Exzavier Mattei, Jacqueline Perez, Deborah Camacho, Marinez Pesante, Pablo Falbru Jr., Gloria Falbru, Ladismer Roberts, Sergio M. Ortolaza, Seovanni M. Ortolaza, Melvin Madera, Yamilet Madera, Rebecca Gonzalez, Crystal Baker, Tony Brown, Felix Torres, Armando Torres, Zaymelix Torres, Mary Montes, Jaycet, Zachary, many more great grandchildren, great great grand children. She is predeceased by son Felix A Torres, daughter Mariel Madera, and stepson Santiago Torres.
