Obituary of Jonathan H. Phaler

Please share a memory of Jonathan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
I was born in Geneva in 1956 to Richard (Dick) and Coralie Phaler. Lived and worked most of my life in this beautiful area. Truly a great area to experience life in. I worked for a few companies and gained experience in many trades. In the late 90's I started my own business with my wife as Jon's Heating and More. Retired in 2024 after making many long lasting business relationships and friendships along the way. I am survived by so many loving family and friends. My wife of almost 30 years Elizabeth (Liz) Robert. And by her children: Joseph (Valerie) Robert Jr., Leisha Devons, and Shani (Frank Doty) Robert. And four grandchildren. My sister Elizabeth (Tibbie) and brother-in-law Gregg Dell, and a brother Richard (Brad) and his wife Mona Phaler. Several nieces and nephews also. My interests were always fun things to do. I spent as much time as I could on Lady Seneca in either a sailboat in my younger days or one of my power boats and my true love, my jet ski. Held a US Coast Guard 100-ton Captains license for a few years. I love camping, bicycle riding and especially Geocaching. (Known as Captain Jon) But my favorite thing to do was hanging and helping friends. And enjoying Captain Morgan now and then. I really had a great life. The family and friends and special pets I had were so very very special to me. That meant the world to me. As I write this it is kind of surreal to sum up one's life in a few paragraphs. But then it pretty much says it all. And who better to write this than myself. I will be placed by my parents in Glenwood Cemetery and see what happens next. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Mon. (Aug. 12), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. Contributions may be directed to the House of John, 14 Spring St. Clifton Springs, NY 14432.
