I will never forget the times spent in any of the band practices and performances with Mr. Fab. The memories I have from high school are almost all band related. Mr. Fabrizio alway made it fun and challenging to be in any of the bands. He always found a good thing to say about my music,(even though most of that talent went to my brother, I was always rhythmically challenged)He made band a great experience. Your a great man Mr. Fabrizio, the world will mourn your loss, and the heavens will forever be better.

Mr Fabrizio was an amazing, talented man, and was dedicated to bringing out the very best in everyone of us that he taught. He was my band instructor in the 70's and I will never forget him. He conducted many bands, of which I was a drummer. Concert Band, Stage Band, Marching Band (all summer too), Pep Band, Orchestra (Musicals). He was tireless and patient! He expected a lot out of us, but he also knew how to have fun, and we did. I respected him so much for that and looked forward to all the rehearsals. He could be strict, goofy, fun, and serious, all in the same rehearsal period. He made Band interesting and playing a musical instrument something to be taken seriously, yet fun. He encouraged us with positive reenforcement and he never missed the opportunity to praise a job well done. To this day, I think of him often when I am drumming.
You will be missed Mr. Fabrizio. Thank you for being such a great example!
God Bless you.

I will never forget what Mr. Fab did for me as an aspiring clarinet player. He was so patient and kind. His dedication to his students and the music industry was tireless. I will be sending a card too and because I don't have Roberta's address, I am sending it care of the funeral home. I would be grateful if it could be passed along to her? Thank you - Meg (Kuryla) Daniels

Mr. Fabrizio will be sadly missed by me and our other classmates. He was a wonderful inspiration to all of us and kept our spirits high as a teacher. For me, he was my mentor in continuing with music all of my life as he was such a great teacher and encouraged me to rich new heights. To his family and friends, John Fabrizio was a wonderful teacher, great coach and over all terrific teacher. I am so glad that we had the opportunity to get together with him at our Class Reunion for the GHS Class of 1965 last August. I will miss his smiling face and hope that the wonderful memories his family has shared over the years will help with the healing of his loss.

Roberta, It's going to be strange not seeing you and John at MCC, doing those buybacks! You were always a pair of bright lights and happy faces in the midst of that chaos. May you find happiness in your many memories and in sharing them with friends and family.

To John's family:
I graduated from Geneva High School in 1977 and studied music under John in both High School and Junior High. John was such a lovely man. He was kind, relaxed, and encouraging.
Please allow me to share how John's efforts as a music educator have reached far beyond his own students. I followed in John's footsteps and received my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music. And now, after receiving my Master's and having taught in western and southern NY, I have been teaching music in the Geneva City Schools for 14 years. One of my own students is now teaching music at an all boy's school in the Buffalo area. So, in just one small example, John's influence can be seen in three generations: me, my students, and my student's students.
John graduated from Geneva High with my father, Tom Allen, and saw him often at the Legion. John never forgot to ask my dad how I was doing. That kindness touched my heart a great deal.
John will be missed by my family and I. But, his influence will go on for years.
Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. He was such a kind man. And accept the sympathy of the Geneva City School's Music Department.

Mr. Fab was one of kind. He took my interest in music and turned it a love for music. I spent many hours in the band room learning so much about not only music but life. When I graduated with my concentration in Music and moved on to college I was more than prepared for what was to come my way. It was an honor to have known him and I can honestly say I have never met a teacher that could begin to fill his shoes.
